Le passé lointain resurgit en dressant les plus puissantes créatures les unes contre les autres. En devenant la cible soudaine d'un des animaux sacrés, Long se libère de ses inhibitions d'autrefois. Le grand guerrier prend place dans l'arène en suscitant l'admiration de Ylo et des autres combattants. Tout à coup, le grand protecteur du règne des dragons, qui sent vibrer intensément les terres hostiles, constate que les pas de l'animal sacré provoqueraient contre le sol des secousses sismiques auxquelles ses disciples ne semblent pas ressentir pour l'instant. C'est que l'éveil spirituel du grand protecteur du règne des dragons sur ce qui l'entoure dépasse l´entendement.
