Parmi les évadés de l'oubli, l'un d'entre eux se surpasse en invitant les sceptiques dans son univers imaginé. En nourrissant son univers d'illusion, l'évadé de l'oubli montre une réalité d'un phénomène encore méconnu par les Hommes. C'est alors que le miroitier se confond parmi les autres évadés de l'oubli pour comprendre les intentions maladroites de celui qui peut risquer de compromettre les menées du chronomaître. Devant l'inspirant élan de l'évadé de l'oubli, le miroitier et l'entremetteuse des âmes, qui se heurtent à la fascination soudaine des autres évadés de l'oubli, sont subjugués par la splendeur des objets de science qui resplendissent à nouveau malgré cet interminable temps dans lequel les objets étaient ensevelis dans le sable.
