Sous les ombres tenaces, le grand protecteur du règne des dragons, suivi par les combattants aguerris avancent à pas feutrés tout le long des buttes de retrenchement en attendant le moment propice pour attaquer de front. Mais, le chronomaître, qui sent la présence du prince du sang à l'intérieur des terres arriérées, mène la fronde en attisant l'appétit des obédiences. Soudainement, le taureau à la peau rouge sang s'affluble d'un camouflage lugubre afin de ne pas attirer les ardeurs des obédiences sur lui. Pendant la lutte acharnée entre le chronomaître et Rinoféroce dans le monde souterrain, les obédiences ont évolué d'une manière insoupçonnée en provoquant un moment de doute parmi les créatures maléfiques. À la vue du sang revigorant qui irrigue les veines du chronomaître, les obédiences avaient ainsi montré des bas sentiments auxquels elles pouvaient, à tout moment, succomber en pensant accéder à cette marche de l'évolution. Mais, les élans des obédiences sont appaisés par le chronomaître qui promet une meilleure proie. Parmi les Hommes se cache le prince du sang. En cotôyant de près les obédiences, le chronomaître, qui a entendu leurs vindictives désirs, découvre avec méfiance cette nouvelle forme d'intelligence. Mais, les aspirations de la guerre reprennent rapidement le dessus lorsque le grand protecteur du règne des dragons déclenche l'offensive. Alors que les combattants aguerris déterrent la hâche de guerre du chronomaître, Long, qui galvanise ses troupes, libère la voie jusqu'à l'autre monde.

Pendant ce temps, le miroitier et l'entremetteuse des âmes, qui courent aveuglément dans ce territoire inconnu dans le but de trouver un abri, manquent pratiquement le pas, contrairement à Ylo qui tombe à l'intérieur des dolines cachées par les ombres tenaces. Dans cet autre monde, les ombres tenaces poussent aux mauvais pas en précipitant les aventuriers vers des dangers mortels. Sauvé in extremis par le miroitier, Ylo, qui dévalait les pentes vertigineuses d'une des dolines, a été rattrapé par le dragon légendaire formé d'ombres éphéméres engendré, une dernière fois, par le miroir mystérieux du dissimulateur. Dans cette spectaculaire scène, Ylo est emporté par le dragon légendaire, à temps, en flottant sur les ombres tenaces jusqu'à s'échouer devant le miroitier et l'entremetteuse des âmes.

Under the tenacious shadows, the grand protector of the reign of the dragons, followed by the dreadful warriors are advancing with noiseless tread all along the hillocks of retrenchment in waiting the right moment to make a frontal attack. But, the chronomaster, who is feeling the presence of the prince of the blood inside the behindlands, is stimulating the appetite of the allegiances. Suddenly, the red blood skin bull is riging himself in a gloomy camouflage in order to not attract the ardours of the allegiances on him. During the stubborn fight between the chronomaster and Rinoferoce, the allegiances have evolved unexpectedly in provoking a moment of doubt among the malefic creatures. At the sight of the revigorating blood that irrigate the veins of the chronomaster, the allegiances are showing feelings to which they could have, at any moment, succombed in thinking of accessing to this step of the evolution. But, the momentums of the allegiances are appeased by the chronomaster who promises a better prey. The prince of blood hides among the mankind. In keeping close to the allegiances, the chronomaster, who is hearing their vindictive desires, is discovering with distrust this new form of intelligence. But, the aspirations of the war are rapidly taking over when the grand protector of the reign of the dragons is launching the offensive. While the dreadful warriors are unearthing the hatchet of the war of the chronomaster, Long, who is galvanizing the troops, is liberating the road till the other world.

Meanwhile, the cutter of the mirrors and the procuress of the souls, that are running blindly in this unknown territory in order to find a shelter, are barely missing one step, contrary to Ylo who is falling down inside the swallow holes hidden by the tenacious shadows. In this other world, the tenacious shadows are pushing to false steps in rushing the adventurers towards the mortal dangers. Saved in extremis by the cutter of the mirror, Ylo, who is descending the dizzy slopes of one of the swallow holds, has been grabbed by the legendary dragon formed by ephemeral shadows engendered, one last time, by the mysterious mirror of the dissimulateur. In this spectacular scene, Ylo is swept away by the legendary dragon, on time, in floating on the tenacious shadows till falling aground in front of the cutter of the mirrors and the procuress of the souls.
