L'oeil omniscient V / The all-seeing eye V

Après quelques temps, sur les champs de bataille bruyants, situés à l'intérieur de la ceinture d'allégeance, où sévissent affreusement des technocréatures grouillantes, les hommes raboteurs, qui ont participé clandestinement, au péril de leurs vies, à l'effort de guerre en enrôlant dans les rangs de nouveaux soldats, se ruent sur des technodrônes terrestres en scrutant, avec apeurement, en même temps, ce ciel assombri et, subitement, envahi par des créatures volantes indescriptibles. La situation empirant grandement, les champs de bataille, au-dessus desquels tournoient funestement des oiseaux curieux, ressembleraient presque, vus à partir des ciels, à des bourbiers mortels dans lesquels s'embourbent des technodrônes terrestres. A peine assagis, ces mêmes oiseaux curieux, qui étaient fortement turbulents dans les ciels, présagent, contre toute attente, cette fois-ci, sous les regards, à la fois, abasourdis et apeurés de ces hommes agissant prudemment, de bons présages. Jusqu'ici, la lumière apportant la sérénité et la quiétude, en ces temps sombres, qui tente de se frayer un chemin à travers les ombres en passant au-dessus de la tête de ces hommes défaitistes, est étrangement défaite par des ombres, s'amassant dangereusement, sur son chemin, jusqu'à cet instant décisif où les ombres tenaces sont agrippées, puis, écartées, par les griffes puissantes de ces oiseaux célestes jusqu'à laisser passer incroyablement la lumière.    

Et la lumière fût brève. Après que la lumière, dissipant les ombres, ait disparu, il s'ensuivit, à travers les champs de bataille, un durcissement du conflit. L'effroyable et rude réalité, qui s'offre aux regards perçants des oiseaux célestes hérissant, soudainement, leurs plumes, révèle les dessous de ce monde divisé, corrompu jusqu'à la moëlle, mésalliant les hommes et les robots.    

After a while, on the noisy battlefields, situated inside the belt of allegiance, where the swarming technocreatures are horribly striking down, the men edging forward, that have participated clandestinely to the war effort, at the peril of their lifes, in enrolling in the ranks new soldiers, are heading for terrestrial technodrones in scrutinizing scarely, at the same time, this darkened sky invaded rapidly by undescribable flying creatures. The situation getting worst, the battlefields, above which curious birds are deadly turning, would almost look alike, seen from the skies, mortal quagmires in which terrestrial technodrones are getting bogged down. As soon as they are becoming wiser, these same curious birds, that were highly disturbed in the skies, are omening, against all odds, this time, under the eyes, at the same time, stunned and scared, of these men acting carefully, good omens. Hereforth, the light bringing the serenity and the quietness, in these dark moments, that is attempting to slip through the shadows in going over the head of these vanquished men, is oddly vanquished by the shadows, piling up dangerously in its path, until this decisive moment when the tenacious shadows are seized, then, split away by the powerful claws of these celestial birds till letting unbelievably the light cross through.        

And the light was brief. After that the light, dissipating the shadows, has disappeared, it followed, through the battlefield, a hardening of the conflict. The dreadful and rugged reality, that is watched by the piercing eyes of the celestial birds ruffling up, suddenly, their feathers, is revealing the beneaths of this divided world, rotten to the bone, in draging the alliance between the mankind and the robots down.
